Good for the fish, good for us

"SmartFish has really made a difference for us! Before, the fishermen would bring in huge amounts of fish, sometimes 15 tons a week! We even sent it all the way to Tijuana, across the border. But we didn't see much profit from all that work. Now, with SmartFish, things are different. They taught us how to take better care of the fish, right on the boats, using ice and new techniques. And me, I never worked in a processing plant before, but they showed me how to fillet and pack, how to make it all look nice. Now we sell less fish, but we actually earn more! It's better for the fish, and better for us. Sometimes it's hard, you know, being a woman in charge. The men... they don't always like taking directions from me. But I love my job!
