From June 16–18, 2026, Kenya will host the Our Ocean Conference in Mombasa and Kilifi—the first time this global gathering takes place in Africa. Under the theme ‘Our Ocean, Our Heritage, Our Future,’ the conference will bring together world leaders to turn dialogue into action, driving commitments for sustainable blue economies, marine protection (including the 30x30 goal), climate resilience, and stronger ocean governance for a healthier planet.
